Our Belief

We Believe and teach that God has three personalities:  that of the Father our Creator; that of Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection saves us; and that of the Holy Spirit, who builds and empowers our faith.

We believe and teach absolution by grace through faith.  This means that we believe in Jesus Christ as the living Divinity and Savior and are forgiven our sins, (misdeeds, errors, and/or vices), by grace, (unmerited love of God).

We believe and teach that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

We believe and teach that through a relationship with Christ, we find fullness of life on earth and eternal life.

The body of Christ is called the Church.  The Church is the people.  All believers are called to share their faith in the world and to encourage others to faith.

We are a Christ centered Church.

We welcome all people who respond in trust and obedience to Godís grace and who desire to become a part of the membership and ministry of His Church.

St. Peterís receives individuals into active membership in one of three ways:

1.      Profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and acceptance of his Lordship.

2.      Reaffirmation of faith.

3.      Transfer of certificate from another Christian denomination.

St. Peterís periodically offers New Member Orientations for those who want to join this fellowship centered in Jesus Christ.  If you are interested in membership, please contact the Church office at (315) 363-5211.
