Online Worship: Easter Sunday—More Than A Fairy Tale

Alleluia! Christ is risen! We celebrate Easter after a year when we need to hear about resurrection more than ever. We don’t like to admit that it’s been a fearful time. But the women were also filled with fear when they went to anoint Jesus’ body and found that he was missing—and terrified when they were told that he had been raised from the dead. How does the risen Jesus enter into our fear and transform it by his loving presence to give us new life?

This worship service includes a thanksgiving for baptism and Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, April 4, 2021. You may want to have a bowl of water and bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: Isaiah 25:6-9; Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24; Acts 10:34-43; and Mark 16:1-8.
