About Us

St. Peter’s In a Nutshell

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Upstate New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).  St. Peter’s was the first Lutheran Church in Oneida County, founded in 1831.  In May 1996, our newly built Worship Center was dedicated following over 170 years at our previous location in Churchville, near New London.

In a new location with easy access from Route 365, we are visible to do outreach in the name of Jesus Christ.  Maybe we’re close to where you live.  We would love to have you be a part of our future!

Worship services are held on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am and 11:15 am. We celebrate Holy Communion at the 9 am service on the first and third Sundays of the month, and at the 11:15 am service on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.

Christian Education opportunities happen year round, including Food, Faith and Fun on Friday for all ages of children (second Friday of the month from 5:30-7:30 pm) and a two-year Confirmation program for youth in grades 7-8.

As a community outreach program, St. Peter’s Nursery School serves the preschool children of our area.

We are actively engaged in an Intercessory Prayer Ministry.  Daily prayer requests are lifted to God through Jesus Christ by our prayer warriors.

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church offers many opportunities for people to grow in their discipleship of Jesus Christ.  Come, learn, grow and serve Jesus.
