You can’t baptize yourself. Jesus knew this—he came to the waters of the Jordan to be baptized by his cousin John. We know this—we come together to feel the water on our heads and hear words of forgiveness, love and grace. We come together to hear the call to work for justice and peace in all the world. We stand not alone, but together as we follow Christ on a path of servanthood and discipleship.
This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, January 11, 2026. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. It also includes baptisms and reception of new members. The Bible readings for this worship service are Isaiah 42:1-9; Psalm 29; Acts 10:34-43; and Matthew 3:13-17.
