It’s one of life’s perennial questions: what do we do when things don’t go as planned? Do we blame someone? Try to make a deal? Try to take control? Or do we just get angry or go numb? Today John the Baptist confronts Jesus with his disappointed expectations. It’s not always easy to hear, but only when we let go of our expectations can we truly receive the gift of Jesus’ presence with us.

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, December 14, 2025. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch.
