Online Worship: River Sunday—Season of Creation

It’s impossible to escape rivers. Every square inch of land is in some type of watershed, and nearly every person lives within a mile of some kind of river or stream, providing things necessary for life. Rivers also connect us with each other, as conduits for transportation and culture. In our gospel reading today, Jesus says that rivers of living water will flow from the hearts of believers. May these rivers of the Spirit flow through us today.

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, September 24, 2023. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are Genesis 8:20-22, 9:12-17; Psalm 104:1- 13, 24; Revelation 22:1-5; and John 7:37-39.
