What is God calling me to do? We ask ourselves variations of that question throughout our lives as we navigate life choices time and time again. In today’s readings, God calls Abram and Jesus calls Matthew to go into uncharted territory and empowers them to do the important work of blessing and helping those in need. We, too, are called to new ways where the old maps can no longer help us. All we can do is take a deep breath and follow.
This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, June 11, 2023. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are Genesis 12:1-9; Psalm 33:1-12; Romans 4:13-25; and Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26.
