Jesus blesses the crowd that comes to him for healing, but then follows it with a list of woes and warnings. It seems harsh, but perhaps this is the medicine our world needs to heal from its addiction to power, wealth and status. The risen Christ stands among us in the mystery of the holy supper with an invitation to live in him, and offers power to heal us all.

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, February 23, 2025. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. (This service was originally planned for February 16, but worship that day was cancelled due to bad weather.) The Bible readings for this worship service are Jeremiah 17:5-10; Psalm 1; 1 Corinthians 15:12-20; and Luke 6:17-26.
