Online Worship: Storm Sunday—Perfect Storm

Storms have a strange magnetic pull on us. They can terrify us, but they can also fascinate us, invigorate us, inspire us, and even soothe us to sleep. But when they grow and intensify beyond what we can bear, they overwhelm us with the realization of how climate change has tilted our planet out of balance. Other kinds of storms swirl around us and within us as well, too many to count. All of these storms eventually fall silent when Jesus reminds us that he is in control, no matter what else may come.

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, September 18, 2022. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: Job 28:20-27; Psalm 29; 1 Corinthians 1:21-31; and Luke 8:22-25.
