Online Worship: Third Sunday after Epiphany—Holy Now

Most of us are probably fed up with “now” and have firmly pinned our hopes on “the future.” Any point in history seems preferable to right now. But our readings say that NOW is the day of the Lord, that TODAY the word of the Lord is being fulfilled. Can it be? And what the heck does that actually mean?

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, January 23, 2022. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: Nehemiah 8:1-3, 5-6, 8-10; Psalm 19; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31a; and Luke 4:14-21.
