Elijah and Elisha might be called the dynamic duo of prophets in the Old Testament. Elijah was brash and bold (most of the time); Elisha was the faithful apprentice learning the ropes. Until one day everything changes, and Elisha has to wrestle with how to move forward. Like Elisha, how do we move forward into uncharted territory? Who will we become along the way? Only God knows.
This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, June 29, 2025. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are 1 Kings 19:15-16, 19-21; Psalm 16; 2 Kings 2:1-2, 6-14; and Luke 9:51-62.
