What’s hiding in your closet? The Ten Commandments call us to trust that God will provide all things that we need. Therefore we don’t need to spend our whole lives accumulating more. When Jesus throws the merchants out of the temple, he is cleaning house, defending the worship of God alone and rejecting the ways we put a price on human life. Centered first in God’s liberating love, we strive to live out justice and mercy in our communities and the world.
This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, March 3, 2024. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are Exodus 20:1-17; Psalm 19; 1 Corinthians 1:18-25; and John 2:13-22.
