The Christmas story is full of signs pointing every which way. Signs pointing away from the emperor, the governor, the king, the powers that be in Rome and Jerusalem, and pointing toward a manger in Bethlehem. The angel tells the shepherds to look for a relatively ordinary baby as their sign, but God loves to weave divine signs of hope into the ordinary world.
This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, December 24, 2023. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch, as well as a candle to light during Silent Night. The Bible readings for this worship service are Isaiah 9:2-7; Titus 3:4-7; and Luke 2:1-20.
