Online Worship: Ninth Sunday after Pentecost—So That Nothing May Be Lost

The story of Jesus feeding five thousand people with five loaves and two fish is always a favorite. But Jesus is just as intentional about instructing the disciples to gather up all the pieces that are left. He gathers up our own broken pieces, too, and carefully stitches them back together, so that not one of them (or us) may be lost.

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, July 25, 2021. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: 2 Kings 4:42-44; Psalm 145:10-18; and John 6:1-21.
