Online Worship: Seventh Sunday after Pentecost—Worst Party Ever

How do you do the right thing when you’re convinced you’re surrounded by pure evil? We hear about a grisly scene at King Herod’s birthday party that shows what happens when his appetite for power and control can never be satisfied. By comparison, Jesus offers a banquet that values all human life, where everyone has enough. This is God’s way.

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, July 11, 2021. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: Amos 7:7-15; Psalm 85:8-13; and Mark 6:14-29.
