After Jesus ascended into heaven, his followers had to figure out what to do next. They prayed, planned, gathered, and chose a new leader to take Judas’ place by flipping a coin. Little did they know what the Holy Spirit—about to enter the scene—would do next by choosing the unchosen.

This worship service includes a thanksgiving for baptism and Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, May 16, 2021. You may want to have a bowl of water and bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: Acts 1:1-11; Psalm 47; and John 17:6-19, but the sermon also references much of Acts 1:12-26.
