Online Worship: Tenth Sunday after Pentecost—Give Us This Bread Always

After feeding five thousand people, Jesus finds himself trying to explain this sign to the crowd, who just wants more bread. They wonder if he is like Moses, missing the fact that he is God, in their midst. People never do seem to understand Jesus! The kind of “bread” he brings is lasting closeness and relationship with God, and he promises it will feed them forever.

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, August 1, 2021. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: Exodus 16:2-4, 9-15; Psalm 78:23-29; Ephesians 4:1-16; John 6:24-35.
