Online Worship: Third Sunday after Pentecost—Road Trip

Looking for a public relations spokesperson? A social media influencer? Jesus would probably be your last choice. As he sets out for Jerusalem, he practically shoos people away from following him. Following Jesus all the way to the cross puts us into conflict with our world and with our own fears and desires. But it is worthwhile because it is based on real, unglamorous love that gives life.

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, June 26, 2022. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: 1 Kings 19:15-16, 19-21; Psalm 16; Galatians 5:1, 13-25; and Luke 9:51-62.
