In the middle of grief and trauma, it’s the little things that we remember. When Jesus appeared to his disciples later on the day of his resurrection, they were still in shock from his death and struggling to believe he was alive. While he does explain everything to them, first he greets them in small, concrete ways: the touch of his hand, the wounds on his hands and feet, and eating a piece of fish with them.
This worship service includes a thanksgiving for baptism and Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, April 18, 2021. You may want to have a bowl of water and bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: Psalm 4; 1 John 3:1-7; and Luke 24:36b-48.
