Online Worship: Universe Sunday—Wandering Star

A few months ago, NASA’s new Webb telescope showed us incredibly detailed and beautiful images of the Carina Nebula that captured our imagination. By showing the universe as a place where new life was being born, suddenly we didn’t feel quite so alone out here in our backwater arm of the Milky Way. God’s Wisdom, the cosmic Christ, is present in all of creation; giving new life, rebirth, and reminding us that we are not alone.

This worship service includes Communion as an extension of the table at St. Peter’s on Sunday, September 4, 2022. You may want to have bread/cracker and wine/juice ready before you watch. The Bible readings for this worship service are: Proverbs 8:22-31; Psalm 104:24-26; Colossians 1:15-20; and John 6:41-51.
